Jump Rope for Heart

Students will be learning jump rope activities over the next few weeks, while learning of the benefits to exercise! As students raise money for the American Heart Association they also learn how they are directly helping others live better lives as a result. Mrs. Mazurowski has offered to share her story with us this year! She will be sharing with the students during Jump Rope for Heart week(Feb. 22nd).

PBIS

Next week, January 24-28, Elizabeth Ide will be implementing an approach to discipline called Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). PBIS is a proactive systems approach to establishing the behavioral supports and social culture needed for all students in a school to achieve social, emotional, and academic success.

We will begin by establishing clear expectations for behavior that will be taught, modeled, and reinforced across all settings and by all staff. Our week will culminate with a juggling celebration assembly.
